All of our new Tailored Learning courses are matched to one of seven ‘purposes' which have been designed by the Department for Education to recognise the wider benefits of learning. This course will help you to maintain your mental health and wellbeing. Welcome to our “Brightside – Wellbeing through art” course. You will try some simple art activities and explore ways that art can help reduce stress, boost your mood, and bring a sense of calm. No art skills or experience are needed. Your tutor will help you with some easy art activities, giving you a taste of how art can support your mental wellbeing. Take some time to relax, unwind and improve your mental wellbeing through art.

Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you would like to boost your mental wellbeing. Our courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.

How will I learn?
This is a classroom-based course. There will be practical activities with help from your tutor. The course will be a mix of tutor-led activities and individual work. You will be given tasks and can work on your own projects. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve.

What will I need?
You will be painting so please bring something to cover your clothes. You may want to bring something to make notes.

Are there any other costs?
This course is free and there are no other costs.
