Brightside courses are aimed at people with mental ill health to help promote wellbeing, support and empowerment. This taster is an opportunity to have a go at this textured printmaking technique. You will create an individually designed collagraph plate to print into clay (which is a simple printing plate), designing the plate from a variety of natural materials and found objects. Once the plate is complete you will create a series of tiles and other slab forms to print into your prepared clay.

Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you have not been on a Brightside course before and you would like to give pottery a go and join one of our courses in the future. Our Tailored Learning courses are for people who live in Derbyshire aged 19 and over.

How will I learn?
This is a workshop-based course. There will be practical activities with guidance from your tutor. Support will be given to enable you to make progress with your individual development and creative ideas. Your work will then be fired and glazed for you.

What will I need?
Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting messy. You may wish to wear an apron and want to bring something to make notes.

Are there any other costs?
This course is free and there are no other costs.
