Description
This course is for you if you have completed the Sign supported English - Introduction course or you have a basic understanding of key signs and fingerspelling. The course expands your signing vocabulary and provides opportunities to develop fluency and confidence in using sign supported English in real-life situations.
You will explore a wider range of signs relating to everyday conversations, education, health, emotions, routines, and social interactions. Through practical activities and guided practice, learners will develop their ability to combine signs into short phrases and sentences while supporting spoken English.
Who is this course for?
This course is for people with hearing loss and their surrounding people, family, friends and carers. Our Tailored Learning courses are for people who live in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire aged 19 and over.
How will I learn?
This is a classroom-based course. We will use group work and discussion about relevant topics. Your tutor will give you support and feedback so you know what to do to improve.
What will I need?
You may want to bring something to make notes.
